Olive Tapenade is the quick and easy app you need in your life. If you love olives like I do, then you’re gonna to want to try this. I love all types of olives. The salty and savory factor makes them the perfect little snack. They could be green, black, blue cheese stuffed, Sicilian you name it, they’re all so delicious. Olives are great for salads, snacking or simple tapenades like this one. I always have black and pimento stuff olives on hand in my pantry. Now if you want to take it a step further, and get a little fancy with your olive selection, then you need to head to Trader Joes. They have a pretty impressive selection of jarred olives that are truly delicious. Not only are these olives perfect for parties and charcuterie boards, but extra perfect for a nice dirty martini. My absolute favs are the Chalkidiki. YUM!
Effortless snacking:
Now let’s talk about this simple black olive tapenade. This is one of my all time favorite go to party recipes because it’s truly effortless and is literally 3 simple ingredients. Which makes it so great if you have unexpected company and need a quick snack to serve. I love this salty and savory dip because I can whip it up in under 5 minutes. It pairs nicely with crackers, cut up Italian bread or even pita chips. It’s super delicious and so addicting.
Ingredients:
- 1 can of any sized pitted black olives (you can use green too if you like)
- 1 clove of garlic
- extra virgin olive oil
*I don’t add salt because olives are salty enough- but that’s your call
Directions:
In a food processor put drained olives, the clove of garlic, and a good swirl of extra virgin olive oil and pulse to your desired consistency. I like to make sure the garlic is completely chopped. If it seems too dry add a bit more oil. And that’s all folks!
