Good vibrations – is the PMD Clean worth the buzz?

I had to see for myself about this little silicone brush device that is all the rage right now. I’ve been seeing the PMD Clean all over the internet and Instagram and on my friends stories. This little device which is available in so many assorted enticing colors promises over 7000 tiny vibrations per minute for a deep clean and to “lift, firm, and tone”. At the $99 + price tag it has to be amazing right?!

PMD Clean Navy and Gold

During Amazon prime week, I was able to get my PMD Clean for $69. Super excited about this sale, I wasted no time and chose the Navy and Gold pictured above. The double A battery was also included. This little machine has two different sides, one is a cleansing side, and the other side is for massaging. This baby has an in impressive 4 different settings.

I used the brush side with Mamonde oil to foam cleanser and started on the lowest setting. It is basically this brush that vibrates. You move it around on your face in circular motions the same way you would just rub soap directly onto your face. From the lowest vibration setting and thru all the pulse settings, I felt like all of them were pretty intense. They didn’t hurt but I couldn’t find a setting that didn’t vibrate my whole face no matter what part I was on. While cleansing my cheek, I’d feel it all the way up to my forehead.

I wanted to love this PMD Clean, but I still can’t figure out what all the buzz is about (no pun intended or maybe pun is intended)

This was not what I was expecting and definitley not massaging or soothing. It was like being in a car that had its base pumping where you can feel the vibrations coming thru your body. That constant vibration that almost gives you an itch that you just can’t actually scratch. These settings are super intense. But that is what this tool promises with 7000 vibrations in a minute!.

For a great face massage with some anti-aging effects and a very affordable price tag, I’ll be sticking to a Gua-Sha tool and continuing to wash my face the old-fashioned way.
